I already know that waste is a big issue in humanity and if we keep on this track we will eventually destroy life on earth. I also know we send stuff we shouldn't to landfill such as green waste like grass clippings and food scraps such as apple cores this creates a bad gas known as methane and also a toxic liquid known as leachate which is bad if it gets in our ground water however if we send our food waste to places such as biorich then we can stop production on leachate and methane

I know that most of our waste goes to landfill which is very harmful for our earth because when we put food waste in the red lid bins it goes to landfill and when the food rots and tries to break down it releases methane gas into our atmosphere which traps in the warm gases and causes the earth to heat up. The food also releases leachate into the ground which can travel into our waterways and pollute them. We should also try to buy reusable things to reduce waste. When we have food waste we should put it in the food waste bins or put it in a worm farm or compost bin. This helps reduce the amount of food waste going to landfill.

I know that most of the rubbish goes towards landfill which is not very good because it produces Methane, a greenhouse gas that isn't good for the environment. It traps heat in the atmosphere which greatly contributes to global warming.

Using the 3 R's are a much better alternative to landfill. Reduce- You basically reduce the amount of waste you are producing. An example is buying less stuff with too much plastic packaging. Reuse- You reuse often to save the waste. An example is using reusable grocery bags. Recycle- Recycling is kinda like reusing but you sort and place paper, glass, and plastic in designated recycling bins so they can be processed into new goods.

Waste is any useless remainder of something that is either discarded or recycled, whether it be food wrappers, packaging, or material scraps. The process of recycling is using discarded matter (Waste), and reusing it in the manufacturing cycle (i.e, using discarded scrap metal and repurposing it into anything from a cup to equipment). When waste is discarded into bins, it is then transported to the local/nearby landfill, where it is deposited into pre-dug large holes and compressed. It is then left to rot, and since there is no oxygen left after compression, items can no longer decompose fully/properly. Landfill items also release harmful greenhouse gases, some of which include carbon dioxide and methane. Landfill also produces Leachate, a hazardous substance that can leach into our waterways, rivers, lakes, streams and seas. However, when "recyclable" waste is placed in a "recycling" bin, the items are then taken to recycling centres, where they are sorted, cleaned, and repurposed. There are many different variants/categories of recyclable materials/items: E-Waste, Rubbish, Paper, and more.

I know that waste is bad for the enviroment.

Half of the waste in our curb-side rubbish bins are actually food scraps which are supposed to be composted. I know that when you throw you rubbish on the ground that the wind could pick it up then it could blow into the ocean then a turtle might consume a plastic bag thinking that its a jellyfish and then it could die. I know that we should not metal, cans plastic bottles or paper in the rubbish because these thing are able to be recycled. And i know that you should not burn your rubbish because it can release harmful gases into the air.

I know that recycling is using an item, usually plastic or cardboard/paper and it can be reused to make a jumper, toy, or other items. I myself have a jumper myself made out of plastic bottle. It is from hunters element.

When we dump our waste into landfills, this piles up and without oxygen, can release two main gases called methane and leachate. Methane is a greenhouse gas released when food scraps don't have oxygen to decompose. This is a dangerous chemical as when it is develops into the atmosphere it can cause the atmosphere to heat up. Leachate has to be pumped out of the landfill into a pool of water, then treated. Although this may work, if it is hot enough the leachate could heat up.

Alos the three Rs are reduce reuse recycle. Which means reduce amount of rubbish going into bins. Which segways into my next point reuse. Try to reuse it. Then if not recycle it. These three Rs help us understand how not to waste.

P.S Im not super confident about the three Rs

I know that waste can not break down naturally or be recycled(some "waste" can be recycled). I know that there is limited space for waste.

I also know that waste goes into our landfills and stays there for a long time because it doesn't break down. Things like food scraps and peels of fruit you throw away into the landfill will rot. When scraps rot, they will release leachate and produce methane gas. If leachate isn't treated correctly, it could go into our waterways, pollute the water, and kill organisms and their habitats. Methane gas is a gas that gets trapped in our atmosphere. What that does is it creates global warming. You can imagine it like a blanket. That's all I can think of right now.

I can see waste everywhere, and it is a significant problem if we don't take action. Sending waste to landfills isn't a solution because they are only storage facilities; the waste never truly decomposes. Fun fact: it takes plastic 400 years to break down at all. That's the lifespan of the Greenland shark, one of the longest living sea creatures in this day and age! The rector and green team are responsible for waste management at Lindisfarne. The only plastic that can break down is biodegradable plastic, which can release toxic gases while breaking down

Waste is a broken or useless item of manufacturing, like a broken phone, or a used plastic water bottle. It could also be something natural, like sticks, or leaves. The waste is put into large areas called landfills. This waste does not decompose, and it produces a greenhouse gas called methane. This gas is very bad for global warming as it traps the sun's heat within the atmosphere.

But we can help!

By buying a can of Sprite at the dairy instead of a plastic bottle, you can go home, wash that can out, and it can be recycled! Use a metal water bottle instead of a plastic water bottle - they last longer, and you don't have to throw it away if it breaks, as the metal ones are much more durable.

We can do the three R's; Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. First, Reduce. Stop buying so much plastic and if you have to, make sure it has a 1, 2, or 5 on it, as those are recyclable plastics! Second, Reuse. Use your Pump bottle again. Don't just throw it away after you finish it! And lastly, Recycle. If you really have to, and you can't do any of those first two R's, try and buy recyclable items like cardboard/paper, or make sure the plastic has a 1, 2, or 5.

Thanks boys

Waste is material that is put into landfills and is stuck there never to fully disintegrate. There are many names for waste such as rubbish, garbage, scrap and many more.

Waste makes me feel disappointed as I love fishing and the waste can impact that, but also for our lives. Words to describe waste would be disgrace, laziness and unthoughtful. I personally haven't had many experiences with wate but try to pick up as much rubbish as I can.

I don't really think it is easy to concur waste but one way would to manage food waste and plastic going into landfill.

I can see waste on the ground, street, alleyways, bins, sewers, and everywhere.

Thats all the questions I can answer as I dont know much about the last two.
