After doing both tests, the Holland Code I got was SRI for both. I can see myself as being realistic, but what shocked me was my social aptitude. I always thought of myself as an introvert, especially when I see reels on Instagram describing the characteristics of an introvert such as having to get comfortable first to be able to express my real personality which I relate to so much. Social skills were not one of these traits and that's why it surprised me. I can't say that it's inaccurate because I got that for both quizzes; probably why realization is my second most interest. Another thing I learned is my interest area of being investigative. My curiosity and observance make this understandable because a good amount of people ask me why I'm so nonchalant. I'm always thinking and looking around my surroundings to learn and find new things. Also, writing this is starting to make me realize that I might be more social than I think. Overall, these quizzes are reliable and explain my persona very well.

Q5: Expected To Live 74 More Years!

This quiz was interesting because 60-70 years old, from what I heard, is the ideal age span that people live up to. To get a life expectancy of 91 years surprised me because I don't see myself as active or healthy. It also gave me feedback on that indicating that if I increase my exercise regimen, I can add 1 or 2 more years to my life span. Another comment this website made was that if I was to take 81mg of aspirin daily, it would help with the health of the heart and brain and add 2 more years to my lifespan. I found that fascinating because I always thought that staying away from medications signified healthiness, so that taught me something as well. These responses were beneficial and showed me that if I can improve my personal, nutritional, and medical lifestyle, I can live a long and healthy life.

Q6: Middle Childhood Is So Ideal

Out of all the topics discussed throughout this semester, going from infancy to elder years, the most ideal is middle childhood. Each particular life stage has its importance, but I strongly think that middle childhood is the crucial area where development occurs and is the buildup to the independent, rebellious teenage years for the majority of children. That starts with the friends they have. The Ebook says that " your parents will love you no matter what you do, but the love of a friend is contingent." (Ch 6, Sec 6.5, Page 182). Friends become people that you consider family and having someone in the same age is a strong bond that is built with similar interests and support for each other. However, friends can also be bad for you; " They can bring out a child's worst self by encouraging relational aggression and dangerous behavior." (Ch 6, Sec 6.5, Page 182) This kind of influence can alter the development of the child encouraging them to take the wrong route when approaching adolescence. This is why middle childhood is so critical and is ideal for parents to present their child with the right examples and images to grow with positivity physically and mentally.

Q7: Feedback Regarding The Course

First and foremost, I want to thank you for all the help you've given this semester and for being the best teacher you could be. The only negative thing that I would say about this course is taking it online instead of in person because I've met you personally and enjoyed it and would've enjoyed it every week. Going back to the course, Achieve was self-explanatory and I liked the quizzes to test my knowledge of the chapter we were on in preparation for the exam. Also, I loved the chapters we went over in the Ebook because they talked about concepts of life in depth giving us beneficial information that we can interpret for each life stage we go through and have a good understanding of what to expect. Another thing that I just remembered is the Development Lives Program. It was honestly my favorite part of the course because it was a simulation of how my kid's life would be and how my decisions as a parent could be critical. It felt real and was a good way to help me grasp the expectations and reality I would have to face if I ever had children. Overall, I enjoyed this class, especially with you teaching it Mrs. Buchanan. I hope you have an amazing summer because you deserve it and I hope to see you at Ann Arbor someday in the summer. Thank you again!

Q4: 5 Months Away From My Real Age!!!

It's crazy that it got my real age, just 5 months short of what it actually is. I had to be 18 to make an account and I don't turn that age until 2 weeks from now. I believe that this is significant because it shows that my diet and lifestyle is met with my age. What I'm curious about is how they balance out the score to determine the RealAge. Is it based on categories or calculated with various variables? Also, I found it interesting because I get a lot of opinions that I don't look my age and look a little older. This score makes me happy giving me a sense of compassion that I'm on pace with the necessities to make my life healthier and long-lasting. It also gives me a better perception of what to build on such as exercise and checking up with a doctor occasionally. Did I forget to mention that my birthday is in two weeks? (:

Q3: Important Information Of Ch 13 & 14

Two important things that I learned from Chapters 13 and 14 are that you're never too old to do anything that death is the final thing of life and be aware whenever that time comes. When I'm in my elder years, I should enjoy all the little things that I experience, even if that means to keep working in the career I love. There's no age limit to what you can't do. According to the Ebook, " Age discrimination in the United States is illegal. People can not get fired for being "too old."" (Ch 13, Sec 13.3, Page 383). That is beneficial for me because if my career is something I enjoy, I can keep doing it unless there's a reason why I can't. A reason could be a medical illness that prohibits me from that. The Ebook says, "Over time, normal aging shades into disease, then disability, and, finally - by a specific barrier age - death." (Ch 14, Sec 14.1, Page 395) Knowing that I'm entering the last stage of my life is important to leave something good behind for my family and friends and to do good in this world. Allah has enlightened me with the ability to worship him and to him I'll return as it is mentioned in the Quran. Having that in the back of my head will help me fulfill all the memories and relationships to end off on a strong note. Those are two important things why it will help me live life to the fullest.
