I would rate the fishbowl a 9/10. I really like how everyone can talk since there are only about 8 people. If we were in an entire class group, I don't know if everyone would get to share their ideas. It's really beneficial to switch up the groups as well, because everyone has their own ideas, and some people might think of something that you maybe never could've. In my opinion, it was very beneficial, and I would be open to doing it again. (85 words)

I think the most interesting comment that was made during the fishbowl was during session one when someone asked, "If AI was never created/you weren't introduced to it, do you think you'd be a better or worse student?" This question was super interesting to me because it was something different then what we were talking about, and we were able to take time and really think about our answers and how we would be affected by AI as a student.

The most interesting comment that I heard was the debate on many short study sessions or fewer long study sessions. This was an interesting debate because I was interested in hearing both sides. Personally, I prefer multiple short study sessions because they allow me to take breaks, limit my procrastination, and increase my motivation. Longer study sessions lead to me procrastinating, leaving things for the last minute, and underestimating how long each study session will be.

I would rate the fishbowl a ten out of ten experience because I loved speaking with everybody and listening to others ideas. Some people who I have never spoken to were expressing very good points that I agreed with and I was like wow where have you been all my life and why were we not friends earlier. I am glad we did this because it introduced me to so many people and showed me new perspectives. (77 words)

It was fun, I have never done a fishbowl before. I was able to have some good conversations and got some good answers and new ways of looking at things. I came out of my shell a little and both asked and answered a bunch of questions. My peers were very much in control, some people were very what do you think and directed at a single person. Overall, the fish bowl was a fun first-time experience, and I am looking forward to the next one.

The most interesting comment was how not having your phone at times is even more distracting than having your phone. I think this was the most interesting because both videos and the slides kept stressing not having your phone. After all, it's distracting. Sometimes when you don't have your phone, it's more distracting because you wonder what's happening on your phone; that's all you can think about, rather than when it's in front of you, it's sometimes easier to ignore.

I think the most interesting comment that was made in one of my discussions was that all teachers are different, and if they want students to be successful in their classes, they should teach them study habits that would benefit them in their classes. I feel as though this one was actually one of the best comments made because teachers should prep students on what they should do to be successful. Like they should talk about what type of notes will help the most, and other things like that.

my first impression was that it was very similar to a Socratic seminar. I do a lot of Socratic seminars in English so I was quite familiar with how the rules and steps go. I found it very helpful because I got a lot of new information that I had not thought about until they were mentioned. It was very fun because I was able to hear other peoples opinions and stances on study habits skills

I would rate my performance a 9/10 because I brought up interesting points and built off of others ideas. One point I liked the most was in round 3 of the Socratic seminar where we talked about whether or not teachers should teach study habits related to the subjects. I pointed out how teachers should because all subjects are different. I used the example of math and science. Math is a technical subject that requires you to do problems and science allows you to understand concepts. So it's best to use practice tests for math and flashcards for science.

Word Count: 100

The most interesting question was from James. He asked how we think our study habits have changed from 8th grade to now. I thought this was a really good question because I have never really thought about how my study habits have improved or gotten worse from 8th grade to know. It really made me think and look back at what study habits I did have and what study habits I didn't have. It also made me realize how much I've improved my study habits in the past 2 years. After some sessions, it became easier to talk with everyone and learn new information and the different opinions everyone have. (76)

Everyone was talking and engaging in the conversations. There was never a time where everyone was quiet. Everyone was responding to the other student's questions and even took the questions in a deeper understanding. They were also just building on each other's responses so it helped the conversations continue.

I don't think it was very good for the people who don't normally talk to others or like to be more inside their bubble but it definitely gave them access to gather information about outside views without having to do their part. It was also a hit and miss for the people who like to talk and get their opinion out, they got to help people see other POVs but they didn't gather many of their own. (87 words)

I think there were many interesting comments, but a few repeated multiple times that I thought were pretty good. One was that it is hard to start studying, but once you do, it is easy to keep it up. I agree with this because it is hard to find time to study, but once you do, it is easy to continue. Another was to study individually and then teach others about your findings. This is beneficial because you can test your learning and improve it by teaching/testing others. The only thing I notice in our debrief was it was really only about 4 people talking constantly. In my table ( besides the first half of the first one) I was very talkative and interacting with my table. I don't know if it was only because I was in a small group, and I don't know if it would be different Infront of the whole class, but I shared my ideas with each group I was in. I also liked how we switched every time, because everybody would have their own and different ideas. ( 123 words)

It was definitely a new experience and awkward at the start but by the 4th rotation I felt confident and I was talking a lot and interacting with people. My first impression of the fishbowl is that it is a really good way to get people out of their shell and talk more. Also having facilitators who force people to talk and ask question and takes notes makes people pay attention. (82)

I would rate the fishbowl an 8/10. I liked how almost everyone was involved, and felt more comfortable being in a small group, rather than an entire class Socratic seminar. Almost everyone came prepared, was actively listening, sharing their input, and taking notes. I also really liked that we did multiple rounds with different people. This gave everyone a chance to ask a question that didn't get brought up in their last round, or hear other students' input on a topic.

I struggle with procrastination so this question stood out to me. the question stated, "How does procrastination occur and how do you move past it?" We were all able to agree that one of the major reasons for procrastination is lack of motivation. if you're not motivated to do your work, then you're not gonna want to do it. This is especially true in my case

My first impression of the fishbowl was that it went smoother than I thought it would go. this is because last year I did this exact same thing and it didn't pan out as good, there wasn't a lot of participation. But this year was completely different because everyone was actually participating this year and everything went a lot smoother. It was very good because a lot of people had really good takes on how to study and everyone felt free to express there opinions.(85 words)

Overall, I think the fishbowl went really well. Out of ten, I would give it an eight. Many people had strong points and pulled directly from the articles and videos. There were very few interruptions, and everyone seemed to be engaged and attentive. I think it helped that we could come up with some of our ideas in advance. The questions were very unique and thought-provoking, which let the conversation flow naturally with different people jumping in. I do think that some people were a little reserved and could have expanded upon their points.

I would rate the fishbowl an 8/10. I think everyone had really good points, but in every group, the same points were brought up again. If it were just a big class thing, then everyone would get to talk about that point, and then we could move on. I think everyone did good with adding their part, even if it wasn't asking a question. Sometimes their statements would spark a new question for me that I could ask in that group or the next.

I thought that I talked and interacted with others a lot, asking questions and also having good responses. I wish that I had come up with some better questions, as I heard other people's questions. My questions were simpler, but I wish I had asked questions that really made people think. Overall, though, I would give myself a 9 out of 10 for this fishbowl activity. (76)

The most interesting comment was what would happen if there was no AI and how your work would be like now. This was a deep question that got everyone thinking and agreeing that it was a good question. We all had to think for a second to make an answer but after some time. It was the most interesting because everyone already sometimes rely on AI most of the time and how those that depend on it would last in school. (81)

I would say I did really well in my performance, I kept a good balance between talking, asking questions, listening, and including others. I would first ask a question and listen to everyone's thinking and then I would talk, connecting my thoughts to their opinions. Also, if I saw someone not talking much and being quiet i'd ask what they though or if they had any questions to add on. For me its very important to make sure everyone feels included and gets a chance to express themselves. (88 words)

I would rate the fishbowl a 9/10 because I think it can bring new opinions to a concept, and it can change people's minds when hearing other people's beliefs. I think it was good to switch up the groups to hear other people's opinions. I think asking questions was a good idea to find answers to things that you are confused about. The only reason I did not give it a 10 was that I think for some people it wasn't as enjoyable because some people don't like talking in front of people.

The most interesting comment and conversation was the controversial topic of studying alone or with others. There were good points made for both sides. Most said studying alone allows them to focus, but they also said that without music, studying alone allows their mind to distract itself and drift off. Where as studying with people said that productive people in a way forces their mind to want to be productive themselves. Also, studying with people gives you the opportunity to convey your understanding on the concepts or material you are learning. I agreed with studying alone solely based off of experience. I felt that studying with friends was a distraction and I feel I work better when I am alone.

Word Count: 120

I liked this because it was something I could really relate to. i use my busy schedule with sports as an excuse alot because I have practice after practice.

the most interesting question was when we were talking about how can you get over your least favorite study skills. It was cool to see how everyone could problem solve and get around things by adding something that would make something they don't like, likable. While we were talking about this, someone mentioned how they don't like reading big textbooks and how they could get around that. I answered by saying that you could listen to audio books and pausing 20-300 minutes in to annotate and take notes over it. Then someone said that after your done annotating, that's when you could start your break.

I think because this was the first time, I wanted to listen more than talk so I didnt put in my all.

I actually had a very good conversation about how music can help you study and how some people can't study at all with music. I was able to ask all my questions and I was able to talk and voice all my opinions. One thing I do wish I changed though was that I should've led on one of my conversations longer.

The most interesting comment someone made was "If there were no AI would you be a better student?". At first we were all stumped because it was such a good question. For me I think that AI has it's benefits and problems to it. Some people use it to assist them in things they don't understand and try to put it in ways they understand. It helps finish assignments that you want to become better. In those ways I think it would help you be a better student. But some students just use it for cheating. They use AI to just do their assignments for them and they don't learn anything so that's why I also think AI makes students bad students.

I would rate it a 9/10 because everyone was able to speak and ask questions. The only bad thing was the little moments that everyone was silent and didn't want to speak, but after some time someone would ask a question and everyone would have the courage to speak again so that's what made me have a good rating for the fishbowl. It was a good experience to go through and made everyone more confident to speak openly to others. (81)

I have always liked socratic seminars because I am able to build off others ideas and really see how we interpret the ideas given to us in the videos. I also like how even though we might've read the same articles or watched the same videos, I was still able to learn and process how the different study habits might be effective/ineffective for my other classmates.

My first impression was that it was very similar to a Socratic seminar. You don't have a Co-Pilot, and it's not the whole class; it's small groups. My first group was very good and just went right in with asking questions, adding to questions, and making their own statements. I think the first group being good was super helpful because then you know what to do for the rest of the groups, and they bring up a list of good points to bring into new groups.

I do like having Socratic seminars and debating others' thoughts and opinions. This one was a little different from a Socratic seminar, as we asked more questions rather than making an argument with evidence and reasoning. I also think that Socratic seminars are a little more intimidating because everyone is watching you talk. This one was more comfortable and made me feel more confident about talking. Personally I do not use ai that much only as a resource tool but it made me think what it would be like without it. It's so weird to think that AI has heavily affected a student's learning. Since it used to be such a new thing and now it's just a resource everyone uses and even abuses it but making it do all the work for them. (97)

The question was whether students would be better without AI, and she brought up how many students don't entirely rely on AI like how many adults claim. Many students instead utilize AI to clear up their understanding of topics they were confused on. AI is only a problem when you use it instead of your own critical thinking. I thought Annabelle had a really interesting point and was different from what the default answer to that question would be.

Another I heard was, testing yourself equals understanding because if you understand your notes then there is a high chance you would be able to pass your test/quiz.

I would rate the fishbowl a 10/10. I feel like this way everyone was way more engaged and it didn't seem like anyone was nervous or embarrassed to talk. I felt way more comfortable jumping into the conversation and engaging into what people were saying. Like I said, it was much more enjoyable because the one person who was designated to each table, kept the conversation going. I really liked doing this and I didn't do this last year so I would want to do it again. (88 words)

I think my performance on my fishbowl was very very good. I contributed to every question asked and I was always the first one to ask a question to try and get the group talking. If I noticed someone wasn't talking I always tried to help them contribute to the conversation.

One of the most interesting comments that I heard was made by Lincoln Miller and he said that studying independently and then trying to teach someone else is the way to go when trying to learn an new concept. This helps because you technically learn it twice. First, by teaching yourself, and second, by teaching someone else. This can be very beneficial because it really helps you drill the information into your brain so you can do super good on your upcoming test. (83 words)

My first impression was that it was like a Socratic seminar but like a short version of the seminar. But in all four sessions, there was conversations going people were talking and in all four of them everyone talked and even people will call out each other so they can speak if they were to scared or shy to talk out loud and give their question or opinion. Everyone would respond to peoples questions and dveen change them to a deeper understanding for the people who didnt understand. (80)

The most interesting comment was when people were saying since last year do you study the same? And that got me thinking because its way different because last year we didnt know a lot about study only the bascis but you had to know that yourself but this year is way different because now we are going deeper into how to study better and have a montinvational study so our studys can come out great.

I want to rate it a 10/10 because I feel like people like it when its a smaller group. After all, a lot of people arent going to interrupt them at all and only having a small amoiut of people around you is better then having so much people. Sometimes people dont listen and they have to re say it that can be frustrating. But at all I like fishbowl then the socratic seminar. (75)

I would rate my performance in the fishbowl a 8/10. The reason why I give myself that rating is because I feel like I could've engaged more. I did talk most of the time but I feel like there were some chances where I could've spoken up and asked a question of my own or add a comment to someone's questions. In the future I will try to go more out of my comfort zone and try to engage more into the fishbowls

I loved the fishbowl because I love talking about things that I believe in. I also love talking about opinions and hearing other people's opinions. Also, I realized it's very close to Socratic seminars, and it's very helpful when someone needs help with public speaking nd keeping conversations going. Especially when you have a good group of people, everyone can say their mind and make sure everyone gets to say something. I would definitely like to do one of these again.

I would rate it a 7 out of 10. I say this because I liked doing it and I liked talking with other people. The only reason I wouldn't put it higher is because of the short time that we had, and we had to have very meaningful conversations and take notes. I like the Socratic seminars because there is someone who takes the notes for you, so that you can stay focused and talk more about the topic rather than your notes.

My first impression was that it was exactly like the Socratic seminar but in a smaller group so more people got to talk. Everyone had really good info and takes from the questions asked. I liked it better with having less people because it was less intimidating and everyone talked a lot. In the Socratic seminars it's really hard to talk because there are so many people trying to speak at once. Overall, I had fun with this activity. (79)

Everyone had really good responses and ideas that make everything think. I liked hearing about people opinions and views on the topics. I think I could have took better notes but I was really invested in the conversations so I would forget. But, overall, I think I did a pretty good god because the facilitator.
