A Cold War is hostility between two countries characterized by threats and propaganda. This was a Cold War not a Hot because countries never were active with military hostility. Neither country opened fire or attacked each other. The countries did threaten each other with nuclear warfare but neither advanced. The war between the US and USSR was cold but they both backed up opposite countries in the hot wars.

Neither side actually won the war but it did end in a stand still. Since no peace agreement or treaty was ever signed there is still conflict today between the two divided countries. Leaving North Korea communist with no access allowed to any other country. Due to this North Korean citizens are stuck. No one is allowed in or out of the country and all citizens are denied access to something a child would get in the US. They are in a state of totalitarianism. The aftermath of this war also caused more/ greater tension between the superpowers because it showed them how they could fight a "limited war" in another country.
