Un tentativo che va ricordato è quello di <em>Gerolamo Saccheri</em> (1677-1733), un gesuita che tentò una dimostrazione per assurdo, cioè partendo dalla negazione del postulato, sviluppò le conseguenze, sperando di trovare una contraddizione. Il frate riuscì nell’intento, ma solo grazie ad alcuni suoi errori. </div>]]></description>
