<title>Eric Foner: The Frontier Myth and American ExceptionalismWhat is the “Frontier Myth” and what role does it play in forging the American character and culture? That America was empty, when the europeans arrived. The europeans had to ‘battle’ their way to the west, and the myth says, that the real american is created in the west. What role does it play in forging the American character and culture:Culture: The culture is multicultural, because many different europeans came to the country when the culture was forged, and it does therefore consist of many different cultures. What does the interview reveal about american values?America being differentMulticultural countryHow does the ”Frontier Myth” and the concept of American exceptionalism influence American foreign policy? The American exceptionalism is that America is different from Europe. The American believes that they are a rolemodel for every other country, and that every country wants to be like them.</title>
