Hello, my name is eryn natessa and i go by the name eryn. I live in Bangi, Selangor which is pretty close to permata so its very convenient for me. I was born on the 22nd of January which makes me an aquarius and my hobbies include reading, watching anime, writing, analysing and observing <del>human behaviour, </del>and also solving mysteries.

Other than that, i am interested in psychology, liberal arts and lingusitics. Currently, i am very drawn towards the beauty of the Japanese language and it’s literature as most of the Japanese books that i’ve read has a lot of deep and intricate meanings that connects well with me. Also, recently, i’ve become more and more interested towards some of the concepts and disciplines in philosophy and started to read a few ancient books related to stoicism such as the Enchiridion written by Epictetus.

Moving on, i don’t really have a career in mind so i don’t know what i want to be so as for now, i will only focus on the present things, competitions and challenges that i must face and i will try my hardest to do my very best at it. I think that’s enough description about me so that’s all, thank you.

semester 1 english literature class reflection

Earlier this year, i didn’t knew what to expect for the english literature classes but now that i’ve been to a few, i can see that its not that bad and definitely not as dull as what people had stereotyped it to be.
The reading materials that Mr Kamarul had gave was definitely legitimate and requires good reading comprehension skills to understand and keep up with it. Also, i am very impressed with how Mr Kamarul teaches the class because it is very engaging in a way that i am always kept in touch with my mind so i don’t drift off from the lecture that he’s giving.
As for the presentation, i am well aware that me and my other team members lacked a lot of good presentation skills and had delivered a not so satisfying presentation despite the instruction and assistments Mr Kamarul had gave us, so i will try my best to do better next time and improve my skills in those areas. But on the brighter side, i got to work with people i never worked with before as they were students from other classes so it was refreshing to see faces other than the familiar faces in my class.
Next, i have learned a lot of knowledge from the literature lessons and presentations from other groups, especially about poetic devices. It has also encouraged me to look up more vocabulary, increase my reading comprehension skills and understand the basics of literature and how it started.
Lastly, it would be nice for the class to have deep discussions about the reading materials that we have read and explore the themes, topics, concepts and depths inside of it instead of just the normal evaluation we do because i’m sure there are a lot of underlying meaning and knowledge that we can gain from researching more about it.
Overall, english literature classes has caught my attention and i’m interested to know what we would learn about for the rest of the year so i’m looking forward to it and i trust in Mr Kamarul to deliver satisfactory lectures.

this semester, Mr Kamarul had provided us with 4 stories and the one that piqued my interest the most was ‘The Yellow Wallpaper’. The author had written it so well and smoothly delivered the intensity and emotions that she felt to the readers. Other than that, it also tells about the history of mental illness and how it is heavily misunderstood and mistreated back then. Overall, i think the story was unique and intriguing. Also, the story is about a genre and theme that is under represented in the modern world of literature so it was something fun and new to read.
