Principles of Design: Contrast

I took this photo up in Big Bear last winter and the contrast is between the lightness of the winter sky and the darkness of the trees. These are opposite colors on the color wheel, as the sky is a very very light blue and kind of looks white, and the trees are a dark green which look black in the lighting.

I took this photo at a Safari park and the movement is the raccoon climbing up the tree. I captured the photo right after he jumped up onto the tree and began to climb up it.

Principle of Design: Emphasis

I took this photo at a kaleidoscope store that I found very interesting. As you can see there is a lot of emphasis in this photo and it is all grouped together. The sparkles of the crystal blocks emphasize the photo and are different from the shelf they are on which is very dull.

Principles of Design: Pattern, variety

I also took this photo at the kaleidoscope store and it is a bird on stained glass. This photo shows variety because of the many different colors. They are all in unity to make the stained glass photo look whole. There is orange, a blue-ish purple color, brown, a dark green, and a light green in the stained glass.

I took a series of three different photos of this unique moon stand I had. This one is asymmetrical because it if off balanced to the right side, but you can see that it is lined up with the corner of the notebook.
