         <description><![CDATA[<div>Purpose of the discussion:<br><br></div><div>To lobby the government, represented by the Land Transport Authority(LTA) or the Ministry of Transport, to support EV charging operators by increasing the amount of money invested into supporting new and established operators, approving contracts to build charging stations in public areas and encouraging the public to use EVs instead of conventional vehicles for private transportation.<br><br></div><div>Aims:<br><br>&nbsp;Persuade LTA/the Ministry that carbon dioxide emissions and pollution from private transport, especially traditional cars, is extremely significant and should be mitigated by transitioning quickly to EV and building more EV stations. We should emphasise that allowing private enterprises to build these EV stations is better than delegating the work to LTA or the Ministry as companies are able to compete with one another to lower costs, increase efficiency and improve quality, making private operators more suitable for the project. We should also want to persuade the Government to undertake a major campaign to inflate the costs of traditional vehicles, such as increasing the value of the COE or the excise duties levied on cars, which will suppress competition from traditional markets, thus allowing operators to see unprecedented growth.<br><br></div>]]></description>

( the cost, the environmental impact that such vehicles would cause, any areas of improvements that such vehicles require and how they are different from petrol fuelled vehicles.<br><br>Secondly,&nbsp;i will have to understand the current situation that this sector is facing (whether there is sufficient public support, how many of such ports are already implemented, the extent at which such ports actually made use of.)<br><br>Thirdly, I will have to seek the opinions of the operators and the public whether they agree or disagree to get a better idea whether this implementation would be beneficial to the majority of the population. At the same time, i would have to get the opinions of the public whether they would be willing to switch to electric cars.
