         <description><![CDATA[<div>Instructional Tool: <strong>Strip Designer</strong> <br><br>When students understand they...<br>Are able to construct meaning from instructional messages, including oral, written and graphic communication (Revised Bloom's Taxonomy).<br><br>Strip Designer can support students in creating a comic strip using photos to assist students in retelling a story. <br><br>This app allows students to import maps, photos and other images from the iphone devices to support a student in retelling the sequence of events in a novel, scientific procedure, historical event, or the context of any learning task.<br><br>Students can choose from a variety of fonts, colors, text balloons, stickers, paper background, frames, and filters to explain and describe the importance of the image. <br><br>Students will have to preplan the amount of events they will be describing before choosing their comic strip template. <br><br>Students are encouraged to use the different graphics and features of the app to enhance their comic strips and avoid simple stating factual information.<br><br>Once finished, students can save their comic strips to their devices and upload or email their devices for teacher viewing. <br><br>Retelling events in comic strip format is an effective way to encourage deeper understanding and avoid a traditional paper and pencil approach (Darrow, 2011)! <br><br>Sources:<br><a href="https://www.celt.iastate.edu/teaching/effective-teaching-practices/revised-blooms-taxonomy/">https://www.celt.iastate.edu/teaching/effective-teaching-practices/revised-blooms-taxonomy/</a><br><br><a href="https://www.edutopia.org/blog/ipad-apps-elementary-blooms-taxomony-understanding-diane-darrow">https://www.edutopia.org/blog/ipad-apps-elementary-blooms-taxomony-understanding-diane-darrow</a><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

This allows students to effectively reach informed decisions. <br><br>MomentDiary is an app that allows students to create time stamped notes. Specifically, words can be created using words, photos, audio recordings, or video recordings.<br><br>This app is useful for documenting observations that test a hypothesis, or determine whether scientific conclusions are correct.<br><br>When notes are recorded, the date and time are precisely recorded as well which supports students in determining the effectiveness of certain procedures or happenings. Additionally, this supports students in determining what is necessary for productive change.
