Persuading people is not the easiest task. Especially if your shorter, "younger", and "stupid." Trying to talk to someone who thinks is over you just because your looks is tedious, so when I talk to people I have to first persuade to talk to me, then state my point, whatever it may be, then smoothly end the conversation. One time I talked to a kid that was 10, and I was 12. I was shorter, and talked alot about Halo during this time so i was commonly classified a "nerd." When i started the conversation, he immediately jumped to conclusions(which were incorrect) and commenting on my looks. When I finally got my point across, he asked me my age. When i said 12, he thought I was joking, but I persuaded him to see it though. I am always determined to talk legitimately and no jokes.

How does this connect to my theme?

I was, and still am, determined the get points across to people that judge me because of looks and callouts(of things that are stupid assumptions).

When I was a kid I loved to try new things. One of these many things was riding as bike. As per usual, I failed, but I tried again, and again, to the point where I fell of and scrapped my 3 year old head on the curb. I was in tears. I healed up( my mom put a bandage around my head), and I kept on trying, being more cautious this time. I was determined. When I finally did it it was where my determination was born and my new found skill.

How does this connect the my theme?

I was determined to ride my bike even if i got hurt or got scared.
