Anyone Attending the Digital 4 A's Session: Participants must currently work with students who have daily in-class access to technology and must bring a laptop (preferred) or tablet, power cord, and earbuds/headphones with them. If a district-issued device is being used, be sure to log in to the device on the district network prior to attending. Device software and web browser need to be up-to-date

Can you believe we are announcing the 6^th Annual AVID High School Leadership Conference with the Denver Nuggets?! We are excited to bring this opportunity to you and your students on an annual basis. Remember, the AVID Leadership Conference is ONLY OPEN to AVID High School Students. Unfortunately, we simply do not have the space for elementary or middle school students at this event, but we hope those students take advantage of other opportunities through AVID.

 

We are proud to say that the 2020 AVID Leadership Day is now scheduled for Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at the Pepsi Center.

There will be an "AVID 101" Session for Anyone Attending from a "Non-AVID" Site or District. Participants from existing AVID sites will begin at 9:30am. 

There is no additional registration fee for the one to two district leaders; the fee is covered in the contract. The district will need to assume travel costs.

 The safety and health of our educators and communities are priorities for us. If district-imposed travel restrictions or personal concerns about health and safety limit a Summer Institute registrant's ability to attend events, AVID will transfer the registration into AVID DigitalXP, our completely online professional learning experience, or if desired, grant a credit voucher or refund. If for whatever reason an AVID DigitalXP registrant cannot participate during their chosen dates, they can reschedule with no additional fees or penalties. Our team will work with them to select new dates. If there is a need to cancel, a full credit or refund will be issued as long as the registration is cancelled at least 14 days prior to the scheduled digital learning experience. If cancelling less than 14 days prior to the event, a credit will be issued minus a $75 cancellation fee. Visit our website for more information on the

AVID Center recognizes that due to the COVID-19 national emergency, sites may be unable to compile and submit their site data, senior data, and CCI data. We want to reassure our partner schools and districts and alleviate any concerns about this. Data submission for the 2019–20 school year will be optional. Site certification status will not be negatively impacted in any way. We will maintain the current certification status for any sites that are unable to submit data. Our primary concern continues to be the safety and well-being of our educators and the students they serve. Review AVID Center’s Certification Hold Harmless Protocol to learn more.

Therefore, we want to make these resources available to you in the most convenient ways possible during these turbulent times. We appreciate your support for students. We are also grateful for your loyalty. AVID’s resilience is owed to your commitment to serve students with rigorous teaching, relational capacity, and outstanding delivery.  As such, we trust that when school is back in session and everyone gets back to normalcy, we can count on you to place these resources back into your password-protected website.
