I like how in depth you spoke about your practicum site and the studies you helping out with. I like your infographic and how it relates to your practicum as well. I like your capstone topic and how you connected sibling relationships and children with ASD. I think we do tend to focus on the person with the diagnosis or condition and not their family members so I think it is great you are addressing this in your capstone topic! The way your broke down your literature review was eye catching and engaging.

It seems like you are deeply involved in your practicum site which came across easily in your presentation. I think your STAR model had multiple examples of skills you've used and you could turn it into more than one example be better advertise yourself. The infographic is very detailed and simple to read which is a great combination! I think your capstone question is unique you made its relevance very clear. I would like to hear what created your initial interest in this issue.

Tiffany, great job verbally elaborating on your role at your practicum site, while keeping your presentation slides easy on the eyes. Your infographic is very colorful and eye-catching and discusses a health challenge that is still very prevalent today. I appreciate how your capstone question focuses on a population that typically receives less attention in literature about autism. Choosing to present your literature review in flowchart form was creative and helped us understand the directions in which the research is heading. Overall, very intriguing presentation, and I enjoyed your laid-back vibe!

Your introduction to your practicum site and your personal responsibility was great. Your STAR model was good and in depth, but maybe try to keep in condensed and to the point. The info graph was great, nice work on this. Interesting relationship between the siblings and ASD; this actually is incorporated into my research paper as well so I would love to look at some of your resources and citations that you gathered. Overall, I think you did a great job and you are clearly knowledgable about your paper and your practicum site.

I liked that you described what the lab did as a whole along with the specific studies they are working on. It was great how informed you were on projects you aren't even involved with, it showed your passion for the lab. Your infographic looked great, you described why it was important well. Interesting capstone question, and you did well addressing where the gap is. I like how you presented your literature review in a different way, it made sense without putting too much information up there!

Overall your slides were very clear and concise which made it easier to follow along and be engaged with your presentation. Your STAR page was a bit wordy, perhaps consider bullet points or a format that is a bit more digestible. However, you did a nice job of verbally explaining it.

On your infographic. You said $1,500, but you never gave the time frame. I liked your topic, there are a couple publications from BU on this! I thought that the web at the end was a little ill placed. You’re right it is very inconsistent, because family dynamics are so different! a

I appreciated the aesthetic appeal of your slides, and that you really followed the guidelines our Professor established for the presentation. The research you are involved with at the Motor Development Lab seems awesome. This motivated me to want to look into the lab more in depth on my own time. Your knowledge, comfort, and involvement with the Lab is evident. The STAR slide was detailed and showed your experience, but could have been more concise. Appealing and informative infographic! Focusing on a sibling of a child with a disability was an interesting and refreshing perspective. I think you would really enjoy courses with Professor Zach Rossetti, who is a researcher focused on friendships and siblings of children with disabilities, and Professor Jennifer Green, who is a researcher focused on behavioral disabilities and the role of families (especially parents and siblings) of children with special needs in schools. Would definitely recommend taking courses with them if you are interested in siblings of children with disabilities and behavioral disabilities.

Very comfortable and confident presentation style!
Detailed, clear, and visually appealing info-graphic!!
It was helpful that you presented some of your literature review findings in a diagram format.
Gael Orsmond (Sargent faculty member) is involved with a lot of research focused on the siblings and families of individuals with autism. James, your fellow HP405 classmate, may have some more insight into Dr. Orsmond's research projects, including those that closely relate to your Capstone question. Courtney also listed some useful contacts in her post.
