In my experience we use Brigance testing to see where the child is at the beginning of the school year to work their way up the ladder, by the end of the school year and assessments are done throughout the year to test their knowledge. Progress reports are also given out after a certain time. In my experience I had Pre school that started and didn't know anything from testing them.

In my experience we use standards and enter and exit tickets of what the child will be able to do after completing a lesson. Each child is on a different level, the foals for one child is different than the next child. We also use ipads to make their learning intentional and goal oriented. The ipads seem to enhance what we teach in the classroom. We set goals throughout the year to get them ready for kindergarten.

In my experience my children talk about any and everything like they are grown. They play well together and will use their imagination in every way possible. Its a saying if you want to know the truth then ask a child because they will definitely tell you the truth. They often times work in groups or play together and collaborate well in their conversations. I had one child to tell me that I can't tell him what to do. They can take a chair and sit in it and act like they are flying in an airplane. They use their imagination in conversation,
