         <title>How apples get their shapes</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A team of mathematicians have discovered how apples get their distinct shapes, specifically the cusp shape.&nbsp; The mathematicians researched collected various apples and compared them.  Thy noticed the focal points of each shape and found the dimple in the apple, where the stem meets the apple itself, to be what helped determine the overall shape of each apple. &nbsp;<br><br>The research team is from Peterhouse College at Cambridge University in the UK.  Funny enough, this is Sir Isaac Newton's alma mater where Newton is famous for "discovering gravity" from a falling apple.</div>]]></description>
