  • Since the civil war between South Sudan and North Sudan has been paused for a decade, there has been an escalation of violence within South Sudan.
  • CARE supports clinics that help save lives despite the escalating violence in South Sudan.
  • There is food insecurity due to the large influx of people into south Sudan, they are returnees and refugees from the North.
  • They provide health services, improve access to clean water and sanitation, and try to help with peace building efforts between the North and South.

Yemen currently has the greatest level of humanitarian needs in the world
Armed conflict began in March, and 80% of the population is in need of humanitarian assistance
  • CARE is trucking water in water and installing water tanks and distributing hygiene kits.
  • They are also making life saving supplies available to the people affected by the violence.
