This is a weird intersection and you can't really see the cars coming from hampshire street, nor can they see you. I saw one coming last minute and tried to brake pretty hard. Since it was only my back brakes, the bike slid out from under me and the operation turned into me standing and throwing my bike off to the side, somehow.

A huge speed bump, textured in bricks like the roads in this rich neighborhood. It must have been the height of a small dog. It was too late to stop so I just braced myself for impact. I was flung over my handlebars and landed on my side, also forcing my phone into the ground and breaking both cameras.

I laid there for some time in pain, looking up at the sun and the balconies of these rich white people, thinking that if they saw me sprawled like this, they'd probably just close their curtains.

On the date, I ended up saying, 'sorry!! I don't usually show blood on the first date." The moderate 2.3 mile loop covers most of the features and trails in the park, with the exception of the spectacular San Pedro Rock, which can only be reached at very low tide via a hike from Linda Mar Beach to San Pedro. The highlight of the park is the Bluff Trail with gorgeous views of headland cliffs, San Pedro Rock, Devil's Slide and the Pacific coastline, which on clear days extends as far as Tamalpais and Point Reyes. Once you reach Pedro summit where a sign is posted, you can look down at Linda Mar Beach and watch surfers while they wait for the next set of waves.
