She used to play with my daughter when they were younger. I also know her mum very well. The last time we went shopping, I saw her take something off the shelf and put it in her bag. I couldn’t believe it at first because we have a comfortable life. It all started when she lost her job two years ago and she started taking small things like sugar. We joked about it, but I never thought it was serious. The latest situation has made me think that maybe she has a problem.

I normally don’t mind, but the last time she borrowed an expensive fan. When she returned it to me, I turned it on and it didn’t work. I have no real proof that she broke it, but I know that it was working perfectly when I last used it. I feel very uncomfortable telling her, but it was an expensive fan. I really don’t want to lend her anything else and I’m worried about what I’m going to say the next time she asks.

He always tells our boss that he finishes work after six most days and that he’s got too much to do. However, I know that he usually leaves at five, and he often looks relaxed when he’s working. He’s a nice guy, but I don’t feel happy about the situation. I think it’s not honest and it’s not fair to everyone else.

I always see her wearing new clothes, and I know that she doesn’t earn enough money to buy many new things. I saw her coming out of a clothes shop last weekend – when she saw me she looked really embarrassed, like something was wrong. I mean, it’s illegal! The thing is, she’s my friend and I don’t want her to get into serious trouble.
