The cover for the book is very simple mostly because it is not a storybook. Plus the copies of the book are translated by other people. So I think that the cover does not have a meaning.

In the Art of War, Sun Tzu tells us about his experience war and tells us a way to win battles. Sun Tzu puts his book into different sections of the book and shows you how to use that certain section. He also uses philosophy and psychology to show how to exploit them in a battle. The book really does not have a story or character he just tells us his personal experience in battles and how to have a better chance of winning.

In this book, you learn a lot of new things and I like that about it you can use it in your daily life. The book gets confusing when you get to a different section of a book mostly because Sun Tzu would say one thing in a section and in a later section he would contradict what he said before. Like I said the summary there is no story or characters, but you do get imagine a setting when reading the book, like say that the book is talking about using spies you can imagine how to use it because Sun Tzu tells how to do it in great detail.


This book kinda reminds me of the movie Wolf of Wall street really because at the end of the movie the main character in the movie teaches people how to use stocks and other things. The main characters did bad things to people and should actually be in jail, but became a powerful person. It is kinda the same thing with Sun Tzu he teaches people the art of war, but he killed a lot of people and became well-known for his book and also became a huge figure to most people.

“Thus do many calculations lead to victory.” pg.8 This quote sticks out to me because it is saying to think before your take action.


“ Now in order to kill the enemy , our men must be roused to anger.” pg. 15 This quote sticks out because it is showing that you have to lie to your allies to beat your enemies.



“Supreme excellence consist in breaking the enemy’s resistance without fighting” pg.17 This quote is showing that people show high ranking to excel without doing nothing.
