One of the recipes is fufu.

Fufu originated, however, in Ghana, and the Ghanaian version of fufu is made by pounding cassava and unripe plantain together, adding water. It is extremely hard to make.
Ingredients:
1. 4 cups of warm water
2. cassava, plantain, coco-yam or other kind of yam flour.
Instructions:
1. Pour all ingredients into a sauce pan.
2. Stir vigorously over a gentle heat to avoid the paste sticking or forming lumps.
3. When it has formed into a thick, smooth paste, scoop into a bowl moistened with lukewarm water and mold into a big ball or individual balls, and serve with a sauce or soup of your choice.

Something i learned from my heritage

A thing i learned about Ghana is about it's different traits.
Ghana is a country in Africa that is native to 25 million people. It is neighbored by the Ivory Coast to the West, Togo to the East and Burkina Faso to the North. It is also bordered by the Gulf of Guinea to the south. It is about the size of Oregon and it’s religions include Christianity, Islam, and other Indigenous beliefs. Ghana was the first nation in Africa south of the Sahara to overthrow a colonial power. Its independence was a momentous event for the people in the new nation and for people in the African diaspora everywhere. Ghana was deliberately named to highlight its historical political situation as the sixth African nation to receive independence from a major colonial power. Ghana’s leaders sought to link their nation to one of the great West African kingdoms of the past. This name represented both a political victory and a symbolic hope for African American people everywhere. Ghana has different climates in different parts of the country. Near the coast, there are tropical forests, in the middle there is a transitional zone where it then transitions into the Savannah in the north where it is dryer and only gets one rainy season.
