Lafayette and Hamilton troops split up after talking. Hamilton and his troops go one way and Lafayette and his troops go the other.
Hamilton starts going on a tangent, he ends it by saying that the code word is, "Roshambow". Hamilton's troops fight the British troops.
Hamilton says "Laurens is in South Carolina.", and "Lafayette is in Chesapeake."
Hamilton states that Herculese Mulligan is spying on the British and reporting back to the states.
After a week of fighting with the British, a man in a red coat waves a flag signifying surrender.
. They negotiate terms of surrender with the British and lead them out.
At the end, Hamilton hears the British singing a drinking song called, "The world turned upside down..."

The Battle of Yorktown was the last major battle of the American Revolution and it took place in Virginia from Sept. 28-Oct 19, 1781. It eventually led to the Treaty of Paris 1788.

This battle started because it was one of the few coastal areas that British troops were still occupying.

The Continental Army (Colonial Troops) allied with France who had a vendetta against Britain because of Europe's power struggles.

In the Battle of Yorktown the Continental Army was led by George Washington and the French fleet was being led by Rochambeau. Hamilton's troops joined the war during the last week and led the American troops to victory.

In March of 1782, the British Parliament passed a bill allowing for peace negotiations with America.

Hamilton says that Lafayette is waiting in Chesapeake Bay. In reality Lafayette was involved in the battle.

They also did not ride off into the battle together like the intro makes it seem. Hamilton and Lafayette were fighting in the same place but not side by side.

In the song Hamilton says that the battle only lasted a week. The full siege on Yorktown was around 3 weeks long.
