The mayans made a calendar containing 365 days. They made it with the help of the nature tracking the sun and moon cycles. Their astronomers could track the moon and sun accurately. They also invented a writing system 700 years before our time period. Only four other cultures have achieved the same as early. They made paper books. They invented several modern things we use today like chocolate, drink and basketball. They had medicine using natural herbs. They were widespread throughout Central-America and had hundreds of cities spread out. 600 years a.d, their capital Tikal had an proper education system, including libraries. They had a real city with hospitals and sports fields, but by year 1000 they had to abandon their cities because of the spanish inquisition. They were brutally murdered by the spanish people, even though they paid large sums of gold to persuade them to go away. They also constructed advanced structures, for example the blocky pyramids.
The greatest city the mayans constructed was called Mirador. This city was the biggest in America before the Columbian era.

4.Culture
Mayans are known for their advanced technology. As mentioned before they made an accurate calendar that we even use today. They also had skilled architects who could build their buildings. They often used to decorate those houses with gems and diamonds.

The mayans today consist of 6 million, making them the largest group of indigenous people north of peru.

2.They settled in northern Mississippi and became the Chickasaw tribe.
3.The Chickasaw and the Choctaw were once a single tribe. They were led by two brothers, Chickasaw and Choctaw. The group set out to find a new home and fresh hunting grounds. At one point in their journey they split up. Part of the group wanted to stay with Choctaw, they became the Choctaw tribe. The rest of the group continued traveling with Chickasaw.
4. their crops of beans, corn and squash. Chickasaw men also hunted deer, bear, wild turkeys, small game and fish obtained on long hunting excursions throughout the Mississippi valley region. Some even travelled to the plains to hunt buffalo. Chickasaw clothes were primarily made from buckskin. The men wore breechcloths and women wore a knee-length dress

Today, the Chickasaw Nation is economically strong, culturally vibrant and full of energetic people still dedicated to the preservation of family, community and heritage. Business has flourished, programs and services have grown, and the quality of life for all Chickasaws has been greatly enhanced.

2.They are located in in Northwest Montana, close to the Glacier National park
3.The Blackfeets were nomads who moved from place to place and hunted the buffalos. In 1800, they got their first horses and the hunting went easier. They also got problems with the white settlers and they signed a deal with treaties with the U.S government but it was later broken. Some people say that they got their name because they coloured their shoes black, other people say that they got their name because they got soot on their feet from the prairie fires.
4. The Blackfeets lived of buffalos, they spoke their own language and their clothes were made of deerskin
5. There are 17,321 Blackfeet Nation members today.The tribe is one of the 10 largest tribes in the United States.

The Cherokee indians lived in the south-eastern USA, before the europeans arrived. When the europeans showed, they lost most of their land. Their houses were made of tree logs, mud and gras. Later, the US-army forced many of them to move to Oklahoma. The poeple were farmers, hunted deer, rabits and turkey. Often they traveled by foot or with canos. The cherokee indians were religious. Like many others, they believed in spirits and supernatural forces, and asked them for help before battles.  They call themselves Ani-Yunwiya.
They dressed up and  gathered to thank the spirits and to celebrate.

The Incas settled in the Andes Mountains.  Inca houses were made from stone blocks and they had angled, thatched roofs. The Incas used mainly granite stones, because it was a hard, sturdy building material. The Incas settled in the Andes Mountains and on the Pacific coast of South America.  

The Incas first appeared during the 1200 century after Christ. It was the largest ever empire in the America with over 12 million people spread out on over 100 different tribes. Their beliefs said that they all was created by the sun God Inti. They was a highly developed people with roadway systems and a big cities located high up in the Andes. The Incas fought several times, mostly against their arch enemy Chancas. During a war in 1438 the incas managed to defend their territorial and chase their competitors away. Regardless of their gigantic population they were quickly overwhelmed as the spanish conquistadores invaded their territories during the 1500s. The last Inca Empire fell in 1572, as a result of the spanish weapons and also the europeans disasters they brought along. In 1911 a british explorer found clear signs of Inca population as he discovered Machu Picchu, the Empires holiday spot. Today Machu Picchu is a popular tourist attraction.

Most people were farmers who produced their own food and clothes. The main gathers were corn, Tomato’s, squash and sweet potatoes, witch Inca were first to produce. The Inca were great construction workers and designers. Incas experienced a custom of making holes in the brains of living people of healing deep injuries and other illnesses of the head.
The Religion for the Incas, as with many other early cultures, attached from politics, history, and society in general, and the Incas religion was also an important tool for the running choice.

After the spanish conquest the inca empire collapsed so there are no inca head of state or equivalent. The average peruvian today have 81% of native DNA which comes from  Inca ancestors. There are no ‘Inca people living today but many peruvian have native blood. Diseases that spain brought to the Americans slowly destroyed the Incas. The Inca people had never been exposed to diseases like this and their immune system were not build opp to kill invading viruses. However the Incas are not alive, there are peruvian that still live like the original Incas and carry their culture. only elder people in villages speak the Inca language, Quechua. They also keep Inca traditions in food and music. Llamas has always been an important animal to the Incas and it still is. There are no Incas living today but the peruvians are keeping the Inca traditions alive.

They arrived in Mesoamerica in the beginning of the 13th century. By the 15th century a big part of mexico lived under the Aztec lifestyle. The Aztecs had their own politics, religion and commercial organization that brought many of the region's city states under their control. They were overthrown in 1521. There has never been an exact number of how many Aztec indians there is. They were hunters and gatherers and lived in stone houses with thatched roofs. , They lives depend on crops and meat like Maize, beans, squash, and meat. Meat was not a prominent part of the Aztec diet because it took a great deal of work to hunt animals. The Aztecs also eat a lot of traditional mexican food. They do not live like the inuits. their live is more modern and they have adapted to the modern world Cultural and traditional aspects of the Aztec Empire are quit a major part of their society. Art was shown through different objects. The most common way of doing art was with beautiful colored clothes and hats. statues, totems, calendars and masks was formed stones and stone tablets that they hatched out. You can still see some of the architectural art forms in their pyramides, walls and other buildings. these pyramids made for sacrificing people to the gods. this was an ancient tradition. The aztec empire was brought down by conquistadores who came in from Spain in the 16th century. The aztecs today live in Mexico as ordinary people, part of the mexican society. The aztecs were really interested in knitting, petting their kittens and especially sleeping until noon. They were actually lazy af.
