It is imporant to remember that there are Australian citizens that were born overseas and whose families have chosen to become Australian citizens.

    Also worth remembering that Aboriginal people lost their citizenship at Federation (1901) and didn’t regain their rights as citizens since the 1960’s ( 67 referendum)
