Similarities:

Creed - Both religions demonstrate their faith in a higher power. A confession of faith, symbol, or statement of faith, such as the Christian creed, is a statement of a community's shared views. We Catholics believe in God, the Almighty Father, who created Heaven and Earth. This Apostles' Creed outlines what religious people believe about God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit's people and actions.

Code - Both religions have a code of practice that must be followed. The core of the Christian moral code, according to the gospels, which are four books in the Christian bible written about the life and teachings of Jesus, is two principles: Love God with everything you have and Love your neighbor as yourself. In the Catholic faith, there are seven sacred sacraments that we must complete. The ten commandments must be obeyed at all times. It is also vital to attend holy mass and receive communion. Penance is an important sacrament because it allows us to seek forgiveness and strengthen our relationship with God. 

Cult - In both religions, we attend holy mass to hear the gospel of the Lord and to reflect on it. We worship our God for the good fortune he provided upon us, for the protection he has provided and for the forgiveness of our sins. Also, we give a way to emphasize organizations that help us to continue strengthen our connection with our God.

Creed - Catholics and Islam both have a strong belief to their Savior. The Islamic Faith: "There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is His Messenger." and Catholics believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ. Both religions also believe in life after death.

Code - Both religions have sacred books that are authoritative sources of their faith, history and practices. Catholic believers obey the ten commandments, a list of religious precepts that were revealed to Moses. Similar to the ten commandments, Sharia Law is a code of conduct that all Muslims must adhere to, including prayers, fasting, and charitable donations to the destitute.

Cult - Islam and Catholics are very similar in worshipping their God. Islam prays every Friday in a specific posture (sambayang), a short supplication glorifying God, seeking His protection is read and followed by Surah Al Fatiha and praying five times a day is obligatory for every Muslim that are physically and mentally capable of doing. Catholics attend mass every Sunday and Holy Days. Fasting are also being practiced by both religion, Islam have a specific month of fasting (Ramadan) to commemorate the revelation of Quran and Christianity have 40 days of fast (Lent), a way to draw closer to God.

Creed – As Catholics we believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son Our Lord,  we believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Also, as Evangelicals, we believe that Jesus is our Lord and Savior, Sanctifier, Healer and Coming King and that we focus on the good news of salvation brought to sinners by Jesus Christ.  We also believe in Jesus' "Second Coming," in which he will return and save his people by reconciling sinners to God, ensuring that they will not perish, but will have an everlasting life with a greater purpose.

Code – Catholics attend Mass on Sundays and Feasts of Obligation; to go to confession (see Penance) at least once a year; to receive Communion during the Easter season; to keep holy the Feasts of Obligation; and to observe the days of fasting and abstinence. To these is added the duty of providing for the material needs of the church.
As Evangelicals and a follower of Jesus Christ as those who adhere to his teachings will be rewarded with eternal life in paradise and believe that Jesus will judge people's actions and that they will be punished not only for wrongdoing but also for failing to do good. Consequently, we fulfill or live our faith to share the good news with others by becoming bridge builders through the use of God’s word, as well as to strengthen our faith by allowing ourselves to attend the service with willingness and love.


Cult – Catholics are also worshiping in a way that we pray, lighting of candles and sing from the heart as we praise him just like to other religions. We worship in a way that we celebrate each day as a blessing through activities live prayer meetings, Sunday school, Sunday fence and through praise and worship through singing. Further, every first week of the month, we practice a ceremony known as "Holy Communion," which was instituted by Lord Jesus Christ himself during the Last Supper.  By doing so, we share wine and bread in memory of the body and blood of Jesus Christ.
