What was your greatest success that came out creating your Music Video?
I think that we were able to create the shots of our music video well and they went together very well to come up with the whole video.

2. What do you feel was your biggest struggle or failure? What have you learned from this?

Our biggest struggle was that 2-3 of the shots had a really high exposure and that resulted in very bright shots. We learnt that next time if there's a problem with the camera we should straight away go to Ms. Gach!

3 What piece of advice would you give future Digital Film students who will create their own music videos?

One thing future Digital Film students should to is have a really clear description in their shot planning and know exactly what they want to do, and book actors/actresses beforehand because that way they can efficiently make their video.

- BONUS: Give this Music Video project its own hashtag - it can be funny, serious, informative, etc. Have fun!

1. What was your greatest success that came out creating your Music Video?

My greatest success in this music video was my editing. Most of my editing worked in tandem with the music video's beat and actual music, so I cut on beat / on a specific rhythm. Additionally, I edited in words and titles, which I thought worked well as the sequence on how they appeared was on beat.

2. What do you feel was your biggest struggle or failure? What have you learned from this?
I feel as if my biggest struggle was getting enough footage and shots for the music video. For some of the lines in the music, I had underestimated how long / short they took, so my shot was either too long or either too short. Also, my cinematography wasn't as good, as some shots were quite blurry and shaky.

3 What piece of advice would you give future Digital Film students who will create their own music videos?
My piece of advice is to actually listen to the music video while you are making your shot list. This way you could envision how long your shot is, and how it could connect to the lyrics and what they are saying.

- BONUS: Give this Music Video project its own hashtag - it can be funny, serious, informative, etc. Have fun!
#raghav

What was your greatest success that came out creating your Music Video?

I think that Kush and my greatest success was how well most of the lip syncing actually turned out. We were initially quite worried that it might look a bit silly if the lip syncing was off, but through our editing and timing it worked out!

2. What do you feel was your biggest struggle or failure? What have you learned from this?

I believe that our biggest struggle/failure was how we had to improvise because we actually didn't shoot enough shots to complete the whole song. Through this we both learnt that sticking to our original plan of shots and not changing specific details, along with possibly playing the song along with our shooting to see our progress would have been much better options.

3 What piece of advice would you give future Digital Film students who will create their own music videos?

I think that something key that would definitely improve the quality of your video would be playing your song as you film the shots. This gives you a sense of how well you're lip syncing, and if you're keeping to the time limit you wanted each shot to be.

The greatest success that we had was being able to work with everyone's schedule and being able to film within 2-3 days.

The biggest struggle was editing the film itself. It was difficult to match the lyrics with the actor's mouth. This thought me that in order to create a music video, you have to be precise with your timing. If your timing is even a little bit off it might ruin your whole entire video.

For future students, one thing I highly suggest to communicate. If you want actors than you need to meet with them. Not everyone is available when you ask for them. Schedule the dates that you need them.

1. What was your greatest success that came out creating your Music Video? I think making people laugh really hard because that was one of the main goals of my video was really satisfying

2. What do you feel was your biggest struggle or failure? What have you learned from this? I think I did a great job of editing but there was just a few even un-noticeable kinks that I wanted to work out before it was showed but I didn't have time because of delaying filming because of forgetting to bring props, costumes, etc... so I need to work on remembering those things

3. What piece of advice would you give future Digital Film students who will create their own music videos? If you have a vision, follow it. Even if your partner doesn't want to do it or they say there wont be enough time or it can't be done follow it anyway because film making isn't about playing it safe it's about the way you want your video to be.

What do you feel was your biggest struggle or failure? What have you learned from this?

I struggled with finding a song at first, because there were really good songs to choose from. From this I learned that the first few steps can be challenging, but once you find a song, or have an idea, the rest of the work will be easy and happy.

3 What piece of advice would you give future Digital Film students who will create their own music videos?

To have fun with the project and make it funny. Also to have great ideas, and make sure they work. And most importantly, it should be something that you don't feel forced to do. :)

1. What was your greatest success that came out creating your Music Video?

I think our greatest success was the fact that we were able to execute a lot of the ideas we had for our film. For example, we wanted the golf cart and we were able to use it which was a success because it added to the video.

2. What do you feel was your biggest struggle or failure? What have you learned from this?

Our biggest struggle was composing a lot of our shots because we tended to not have some of our necessary materials or our idea wouldn’t work out somehow and when it came time to put our shots together, it felt like something was missing from the shot.

3 What piece of advice would you give future Digital Film students who will create their own music videos?

To plan their videos well ahead of time so when it comes time to film you are prepared. Also, book your actors ahead of time otherwise they will get booked by another group and you won’t be able to use them.
