He always hollers at him, and has this sort of favoritism. He only tears Pony poorly, and only will stop when Soda tells him to stop. This is proven in the text when it states, "Me and Darry just didn't dig each other. I never could please him. He would have hollered at me for carrying a blade if I had one.   ...   He never hollered at Sodapop-not even when Soda dropped out of school or got tickets for speeding. He just hollered at me." Pg 15.  This quote proves that Darry is clearly favoriting Soda.
