Intriguingly, the roof for each Uma Kelada is based on the resident social status. The Uma Kelada, shaped like a stilt house consists of four levels with various functions. The lowest area is the pet area. The second level is the main area for the owner. The following area is applied for food storage uses. The next area is for storing sacred objects. The top level is applied for owners who store an object that is a symbol of glory. (e.g buffalo horn)

The artist of Perburuan Banteng , Raden Saleh Sjarif Boestamais regarded as the first Indonesian modern artist.   He went abroad in nation, namely  the Netherlands, Germany, France, Switzerland, Scotland and Italy. Hunting was often a major theme of his artworks. The artwork often depict the chaotic conflict of humans and animals. The subject of the artwork is a 19th century “great hunt” of a fearsome wild animal. In this work, Raden Saleh himself appears on horseback with a Javanese hunting party as they engage a wild bull in Java.  Raden Saleh 's acquaintance of wildlife began when he worked as an animal tamer in a circus. Saleh, who adored the artworks of the French artist, Eugene Delacroix who also loved to paint wildlife, later depicted the subject on many canvases.

The artist of Ali Sadikin Pada Masa Kemerdekaan, Hendra Gunawan was one of Indonesia’s most prominent modern artists. Many of Hendra Gunawanr's paintings showed the surroundings of everyday life, amplified by cartoonlike proportions and bright colors. Despite being a  patriot, Hendra'sCommunist Party was jailed for 13 years by the Suharto regime, which disapproved of intellectuals. Due to his limited exposure to life outside prison, Hendra Gunawan delves into portraiture during his years of incarceration. His released artworks would often emphasize the character's facial expression.
