One participant feels that we need to treat AI as a tool, just like a calculator. In the past, many people felt that a calculator was a tool that may take away learning from students but nowadays it is a well recognized tool. AI should be treated the same way. Another person agreed and feels similarily that back in the day theTV was a new invention that many people were excited about and also concerned about as well. But nowadays these are common tools and it is important for humans to teach how to properly use these tools.

One teacher discussed how he used AI to analyze what is is working and what is not working in his lessons. Then he uses that info to help him create lessons. This has cut his lesson planning and materials creation time by more than 50% and he is very grateful for the tool. He is modeling ways on how to use properly for his students and it also helps him be more creative because AI suggest ideas that he hasn't thought of before and he can continue to use.

Another educator feels AI is everywhere, even at home. Every single device she owns has AI. There is even app about how AI can be used to locate lost dogs. There has been a lot of backlash for this because of heavy surveillance of people's everyday life. There needs to be safe guards to protect people and students, especially within education. This is the only way it can benefit from it in a good way.

Another participant points out that AI is an arrived technology and there is no choice for all of us to learn it.

Teachers can have frank discussions with students about why they do homework or why do they study. It is important to emphasize the habit of studying and practicing.
