Acrostics is when you take the first letter of each thing in a list and make a new sentence. The video uses the example of memorizing the list of planets. They have a sentence, "My Very Easy Method Just Speeds Up Naming", where the first letter of each word matches up with a corresponding planet.

The linking device helps you memorize a list of things by linking each thing to another. Using this you only have to memorize the first thing in the list, since the rest are linked. The video talks about a list of chores and visualizing things such as a parakeet wearing wrist watch to remember that they have to go to the jewelry store and then the pet store for bird feed.

Go to 4:55 in the video
Rhythmic devices are rhythms and musical notes that help you encode information into your long-term memory. The video gives an example of listening to a certain song many times on vacation, and afterward that song reminded them of that vacation. The song helped encode the memory of the vacation into their long-term memory.
