This website allows teachers to assess student understanding of any topic through student speaking skills. Students get a code or link from their teacher and they are able to record their voice and face to answer a question or respond to a task. This also gives students the opportunity to give each other feedback. Administrators could use this website to get teachers opinions on topics, assess faculty understanding of new content/curriculum, etc. This website can be used for many different grade levels and subjects.

This website has been an amazing tool in my classroom. It has allowed me to collect data both for academics and for surveying students. This website gives teachers the opportunity to build assessments, students to show their understanding, and administrators to have access to data used in the classroom. I have used this for vocabulary assignments, end of the year classroom awards, announcements, study guides, and links to other websites that will enhance student learning.

This is not necessarily a website, but a tech tool that has become an incredible resource for my school and classroom. This website allows for teachers to record their screens and upload the links to google classroom. I have used this tool to record lessons for when I have a substitute in my room and have had great feedback from administrators about the rigorous instruction my students receive, even when I have to be out. I have also used Screencastify to show my colleagues how to complete tasks online. It allows the microphone to record your voice, while the video is what is on your desktop or browser. I have VARIOUS examples, if anyone is more interested in seeing these done!

Nearpod can be used as simply as a teacher or administrator wants. This presentation website allows for teachers or admin to upload powerpoints already created and embed questions, collaboration boards, or interactive pages for more engagement. Students are given a code to enter the nearpod. Teachers/Admin can pull data from nearpod questions or posts and use to guide instruction. I love the different options for assessment through this presentation tool. As a future administrator, I hope to use this to present new topics to my faculty using this tech tool.

Kami

Kami is another google extension, but can also be used directly on their website. This has been a lifesaver to me in my classroom being a reading teacher. However, I have used it for Math, changing PDF files by adding text boxes, and have used it to annotate text selections while reading in the classroom. Kami has both free and premium accounts and the free account gives more than enough features for educational use. Some of the included options are to add text boxes to a PDF, underline or circle key words on a PDF, highlight text parts, and add shapes or images to your text.
