Hello! I'm Maika, you may call me "Mai" or just "Maika", anything is fine. I'm usually a reserved person, a quiet one, especially in class, but when I'm with my friends, expect the total opposite! I get super loud and talkative when I'm with people whom I'm comfortable with. Other than that, I really enjoy hanging out with my friends, even if I end up broke afterward. Besides that, I rarely play sports, but I only join in for the fun, such as playing badminton and volleyball with my cousins. Although I'm not good at playing sports, at least I'm having fun bonding with my family. And my fav color is green<3

1. Was the subject Personal Development helpful for you? How did this subject help you know yourself more?

The subject of personal development has been helpful for me throughout my senior high journey. This subject prompted me to reflect deeply on my strengths and weaknesses, encouraging me to strive for improvement and become a better version of myself. Lessons on mental health, relationships, and development have influenced my understanding of reality, making me more aware of my emotions, feelings, and behaviors; therefore, building greater awareness and confidence.

2. What were your key takeaways from the subject?

My key takeaways from personal development include understanding the mind, recognizing one’s emotions and feelings, which also influence my actions. I learned how to reflect on my goals, build stronger bonds with people, and maintain a healthy lifestyle and sense of well-being.

3. What two topics were your favorites and why?

Two topics that were my favorite were mental health and social relationships. I am already in that stage where I need to understand the importance of self-awareness, where there are social issues that could relate to mental health, and how to manage relationships better. These topics taught me how to grow as an individual and be more mindful of my decisions, goals, emotions, and lifestyle for my future.
