The York 113 died from typhus fever, during a battle, outside the city of York in 1640. The proof showing that is, they were all buried in one place at the same time, and if they (skeletons Bodies)were left out the fevers would spread. So they were all buried in the mass grave so no fevers would escape, and to save other peoples life.

There are many reason reasons as to why the York 113 had died from the very common Typhus Fever at that time. Evidence shows that very few people from the civil war died from trauma/injuries from battle/conflict. Typhus Fever was the most common fever/illness at that time- 70% of the people who were infected died. Typhus Fever is a fever that only lives in clothes on 'warm bodies'. The Typhus Fever killed majority of the men before the victory was even assured- Typhus fever was said by scientists that it could wipe out a whole bunch of people at a time, including a whole army- therefore Typhus Fever could have easily and most definitely killed the York 113. The cold case was a discovery of 113 male skeletons buried together in a mass grave. They were killed from epidemic typhus fever because of the mites and lice in the trenches. Very few of the men had suffered trauma such as musket or knife wounds. This proves the York 113 were killed by typhus fever.

The York 113 died from typhus fever, during a battle, outside the city of york in 1640. The proof showing that is, they were all buried in one place at the same time, and if they(skeletons bodies) were left out the fevers would spread. So they were all buried there so no fevers would escape, and to save other poeples life.
