To increase the fight for farmers, the Populist Party was formed. They spoke up about it because they knew that they were a big provider of food to the people of higher power and just regular systems. They knew that without them surival would be hard. The effects of Agrarian unrest is that some of the populist had removed the property tax from them because of the fairness they werent recieving. Instead they had started to tax the production of their crops in order to make it fair and equal amongst the farmers. Therefore, it had inspired a group of politicians to create the Populist party, which made the farmers its primary goal. They introduced ways to help farms out of debt by having an unlimited supply of silver and created postal savings banks.
