         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Science</strong><br>Students learn about how coins are made and they will link this process to states of matter-- solids and liquids.<br><br><strong>Art</strong><br>Students will learn about Metal Repousse sculpture.  In Media, students will create their own coin which will be printed onto paper.  In Art, students will create a sculpture of their coin using aluminum metal.<br><br><strong>Music</strong><br>Students compose a song using the familiar melody to "Wheels on the Bus" about pennies, nickles, dimes, and quarters. Once the lyrics are written they then use music rhythmic symbols (quarter, beamed eighth notes) over certain words from the song. Students then pick percussive instruments to sing and play their creation.<br><br><strong>Media</strong><br>Students will see how money is made at the US Mint, create a coin to reproduce in art, and continue learning about the US symbols and people represented on US currency.</div>]]></description>

Students will create a class wordle on how the music makes them feel.  <br><br><strong>SCIENCE:</strong><br>Students will look at different QR codes around the room to pull up videos on iPads on how to make different paper airplanes.  At the end they will test which planes fly the farthest.</div>]]></description>
