Newgard was lying near the car, and there was blood on the car door and the baseball bat. The cell phone was also near his hand, and there was a piece of gum under the car near the far tire. Based on the evidence found at the scene, Marcel Newgard could have been coming or leaving home and got hit in the head with the baseball bat by another individual. The cause of death could be unnatural and a homicide.

These observations match up with Marcel's fingerprint and can be assumed that the fingerprint on the bat is Marcel's. Marcel is the only one to have a right loop fingerprint out of all the suspects.

Confirmatory testing was done on the blood spatter at the scene. The spatter at the scene was found to be Type A blood. Out of all the persons of interest, the spatter could have belonged to Marcel Newgard, Kay Litrell, or Jenn Newgard. It could not have been from Aiden Santori, Cam Banks, or Naomi Lee because they do not have blood Type A.

Toxicology

The mechanism of death is a result of Marcel's bacteria from his abscessed tooth entering the bloodstream, and reaching the heart. The bacteria then infected the aortic valve and caused the heart to fail. The manner of death is determined accidental, as there was no intent to harm Marcel Newgard.
