Texture, . Students discovered that lines are used everyday in their name as well as in math with numbers. next they learned if you give a line a beginning and a end they create shapes. shapes then created things and objects like people homes and animals. We also had fun exploring the colors of fall we mixed and blended watercolors to paint a leaf. They loved how yellow and blue made green, yellow and red made orange and discovering when you mixed all the colors it made brown. Kindergarten loves discovering new things!

Next we worked with the stem teacher Mrs. Henderson. Each student decorated there hand made instruments from stem class using collage .  Finally, they took these creations to music and explored the sounds each instrument created. Way to go first graders!!!!

As a class we discussed in detail what they saw . Next each student then created an original rug using the elements and principles of design.
