The Climax is found on page 314, reading, "I slung it off my shoulder and unzipped it. Inside was a two-foot-long metal cylinder, spiked on both ends, humming with energy." (Riordan). This is the climax because Percy Jackson has been on a quest to find the bolt to realize that he has it the whole time, and since he found it, it made the gods angry,

There are plenty of settings in 'The Lightning Thief,' but the one I will describe is Mount Olympus. Mount Olympus is a beauteous place, on the peak of a mountain with its peak covered in snow. There were plenty of palaces, all with white-columned porticos, with bronze braziers glowing with a thousand fires. Palaces glittered white and silver, with twelve thrones in the shape of a U.

The Exposition begins when Percy Jackson arrives at Camp Half-Blood. "The last thing I remember is collapsing on a wooden porch, looking up at a ceiling fan circling above me, moths flying around a yellow light, and the stern faces of a familiar-looking bearded man and a pretty girl..." (Riordan 56). The familiar bearded man is his teacher and hero, Chiron. And the blonde hair girl is his future girlfriend to-ne, Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena. "He's the one. He must be." (Riordan 56). This develops the conflict for not only the book, but the whole story, where Annabeth states that Percy is the one for the prophecy that will change mankind forever.

1. How are you so young and powerful? -It is not fair that he is 12 years old and can't drown, breathe underwater, and control water while killing monsters. He beat a god 1 on 1 for god's sake!

2. Do you like Annabeth? -I know he does, but you got to ask him to get him worked up and nervous.

3. If you had no weapons and could use no powers, who would win in a fight, you or Clarisse?- I only ask him this because I want to test his confidence in himself.

4.What or who do you love the most?- I am expecting his answer to be his mom, which it would most likely be. But how about his powerful abilities, Grover, Camp Half-Blood, Poseidon, or maybe even Annabeth?

5. What is your second favorite color? -Blue is his favorite, no question, but his wardrobe and preferences can't be blue and blue only!

Grover experiences this throughout the whole book. One example is found on page 161, reading, "All three of them," Grover whimpered. "Di immortales!" (Riordan). This indicates that Grover is scared of foreign characters, because what he just seen are three of the worst monsters from the Underworld

If I was in Greek Mythology, I would like to be a son of Poseidon too. Why? Because the Earth is 70% water, and water is all around us. Therefore, I am 70% more powerful than everyone.

This Zinger is on page 285-286, stating, "How did you die, then?" I nudged Grover. "Oh," he said. "Um... drowned...in the bathtub." "All three of you?" Charon asked. We nodded. "Big bathtub," Charon looked mildly impressed." (Riordan). First of all, what would be so impressive about three people dying in a bathtub. This is amusing because how three people get in a bathtub that deep, without knowing how to swim. One person couldn't save the one drowning, or did they all drown altogether?
