In the story, our main character Romelie meets a new friend in school, Camila, who speaks Spanish. She and her mom decide to spend the weekend playing the Language Game. The Language Game is a game where the players pay attention to different words around them that they see in their every day life. Spend a day or two listening to or reading words around you. Write down words that you think might come from another language. Investigate where those words come from online with an adult or take a guess as to what language you think it might be. Finally, share your list to our Padlet by typing them out, taking a picture of your list, or by making a video. Different languages are all around us!
