I think that the US does have the right to intervene in the affairs of other nations, but there needs to be a very valid reason. When determining whether to intervene or not it would be extremely important that the costs- both monetary and people's lives- are considered and are considered to as some of the main determining factors.

I believe that the US does have the right to intervene, if the purpose is to protect US citizens or help maintain world peace. When the nation is posing a threat to the safety of the US, I see that they are justified to interrupt international affairs. However, if it is for economic gain, the right to intervene gets blurry. I would not have supported the Roosevelt Corollary if he hadn’t approached it in a diplomatic way.

I think that it’s a very sensitive subject to approach a matter like this so directly. The US has the ability to intervene; however it might need more background information and other’s judgement in choosing if it’s morally correct to do so, as well as if the risks are acceptable for such decision. The United States must also be willing to accept the reparations and risks involved when in the case that they’re wrong and the damages they’ve caused to reach such a conclusion should be acknowledged.

I believe it depends on the situation I think that if a country is asking for help and they have a solution but they cannot execute it I believe that is a time America should step in but or if a country is clearly planning to do harm to another country or causing harm to their citizens. I believe that is another reason we should step in, But I don't think America should pledge troops and money to a country immediately I believe sanctions is a strong way to hurt a country without violence. The reason I believe we should help certain countries in certain situations is because it is always good to have allies and friends and when other countries do good we do good and I feel like everyone can prosper if we are all on the same page and agree.

No because it is our military's job to protect and keep stability of land around the US and along with other countries as well. The U.S should not invade or press conflict on another country weaker than them but instead should be protecting them from more bigger countries than those smaller countries themselves. But they have the right to do so if main resources are taken that are needed, people's lives are jeopardized, a hugely corrupted government, or alot is being taken from them by force.

I think it depends on the situation. I believe that in some cases yes, it is ok for the US to intervene in the affairs of other nations. However, not all cases call for the US to intervene, and the US needs a very valid reason to intervene with other nations. Additionally, if the US intervenes it doesn’t need to mean violence, and the US could approach in a different way (more peaceful). I also believe if the US intervened it could make things worse and it could cost people’s lives. Overall, I don’t think the US should intervene unless they have a valid reason.

I believe that the United States does not have the right to intervene in the affairs of other nations because in the Monroe Doctrine and the Roosevelt Corollary, the United States was basically in charge of the Western Hemisphere and they didn’t even discuss this situation with the South American nations meaning that they were basically in charge of them. Also just like we saw in the 9/11 attacks, the United States attacked countries that were not even involved in the attacks killing hundreds of thousands of American soldiers and innocent people from the middle east. However, I do believe that the United States has the right to intervene if they have solid evidence of other countries hurting the United States, there should be a valid reason behind it and the United States should consider the consequences of intervening in the affairs of other nations first.
