Talking about social media addiction is very impactful and risky topic. Its like taking about thing that live with us 24/7 because lately you will never find a house without at least one kind of social media, speciality after Covid-19 pandemic because it was very important and effective period.
I will talk about one of my personal experiences regarding this topic. She's one of my family, she's my aunt whose a social media addict and how does that effected her life since she's following them and it was increased in covid-19 year speciality in the lock down time, when people try to copy other's routine, also it was the perfect time for online marketing because of those effective people from different minds and sections like fashion, chefs, doctors, news, rumors and other. My aunt was effected of their life from cooking food, personal care, ordering their cosmetic products and ect. Unfortunately, she's still in this addiction I wish she will stop what she's doing soon because that let her spend a huge amount of money and not everything worth it.

Muneerah Alqattan ID: 61934

Negative Impact On People's Lives

There is a lot of negative impact on people who suffer from social media addiction for many reasons. Let’s start with the loss of self-confidence and introversion, this is the simplest thing that can cause social media addiction. For example, a lot of people lose self-confidence because they compare themselves with social media celebrities this thing is wrong. Therefore, everyone has a beautiful side to their personality and features. The next reason is that some people also lose true human contact by sitting at home watching social media screens. Like now a day many people lose friends and family only because they prefer sitting at home more than sitting around friends and family. The last negative reason is sleep anxiety, which is the most social media addicts suffer from. Moreover, frequent follow-up on social networking sites causes addiction and the inability to leave the phone, which causes a lack of sleep and permanent anxiety. In my opinion, we should set a certain time for social media sites and more time for our daily life and face-to-face communication with our family and friends, and also time for ourselves and our own needs.

Fatmah Alshanfa ID: 68228

I believe that social media has many effects on people, but it's a bad effect which is called social media addiction. Although social media is considered an essential thing in a time like this and means the expresses progress in life, and many people use it, but there are those who have an addiction to social media. It is a behavioral addiction that a person cannot control. So I decided to write about it because most do not know the causes of social media addiction. First of all, who has loneliness and a few friends? It leads the person to spend all his time on social media such as Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube trying to find the fun. Secondly, people escape from their reality. There are many people who suffer in their lives from betrayal, lying, and torture. And for that it makes them go to the social media world to avoid the hurting and forget it, and because of that, it makes them of addiction social media more than any time. Finally, A person who is Jealousy from others and following them. It also can lead to social media addiction by monitoring people and seeing what they are trading about their personal lives for writing bad comments to please his selves just to build a strong personality and also to attract attention and for that, it leads the person to monitor more people and that makes him in social media addiction. All in all, social media addiction is a big problem that we can't ignore it.

Retaj Matar ID: 61570

Social media addiction is an issue that everyone suffers from nowadays. I think the best solution for this addiction is to be more social with people in real life. The first step is to attend more family gatherings. To illustrate, spending time with your family will help to get rid of social media addiction. Moreover, enjoying real-life activities like playing sports or practicing your favorite hobby with someone is a good choice to be more social and fill your spare time. Furthermore, traveling or going on a vacation can also help you make new friends or get closer to the people who are with you on this trip. In fact, if you spend more time with people, you will not have time for social media. Finally, we can also try old-fashioned communication methods. For example, we can send messages to family and friends by using envelope mail. In general, it would be great to take control of your actions before they turn into addiction.
