<title>Nicole Benner Proposal There are several logistics to consider while preparing for this interview. First off, I am going to interview a new acquaintance of mine, Rachel. We could do this interview at her or my house, at a coffee shop, or over Skype if neither of those places end up working out. We both have very busy schedules, since we both hold full time jobs and are full time students. This upcoming Thursday 1/31 from 11 AM – 12 PM or Friday 2/1 from 10-11 AM will work for both of us. I plan to take notes during the interview, and record it using an audio file in case I miss any documentation. The friend of mine, Rachel, used to be a collegiate athlete. I was an athlete in high school, but never wanted to push to the next level, so I am interested to see her thoughts and experiences as an athlete in college. She also had two hip surgeries, taking her out of the sport. I am interested to see how her college experiences differ as an athlete and non-athlete. The questions I plan to ask during the interview are as follows:I know you played collegiate golf, but what initially got you into the sport? What made you want to pursue golf at a more elite level, in college? How much of an impact does exercise and nutrition have in being an athlete? How do friends, family, coaches, etc. influence you as an athlete?I know you had surgery on both of your hips.. tell me more about those surgeries and the recovery process. How have these surgeries effected your life as an athlete? Or your life period?Do you plan to go back to playing golf?Tell me about the differences in your life as a student athlete vs. not being a student athlete? How have you been holding up emotionally through all of this?Have your goals and perspectives changed since golf is no longer a huge part of your life?My letter of consent will look something like this.Rachel,For my Composition II class we are writing literary journalism essay. Part of this essay involves me interviewing someone to get a deeper understanding of them. Then, to further understand a concept or detail about that person, I will be researching something I find intriguing. I would like to interview you, Rachel Belanger, for this project. During the interview process, I will be both taking notes and recording an audio file in case I miss any documentation. I will need your permission to record. With the information you are sharing with me, I will be putting it in an essay and further researching a specific topic you brought up that sparked my interest. People in my class will read this paper through my blog, along with my professor who has to grade it. During this process, if you change your mind at any point, you can contact me at 6788233771 to say that you do not want to participate.</title>
