Many seem to believe that both go had in hand, and while the organization was greatly boosted by Corky, he was not the main progressor. As stated to perceive both as synonymous is incorrect, yet the history and trajectory of the organization cannot be mentioned with its founder and initiator.

Rodolfo Gonzales continually inspires those that live in the Denver area to remember and pay homage to the journey that he helped begin. Without the efforts of Rodolfo alongside many inspiring and prominent organizations such as the Poor People's campaign, the civil rights movement for Chicanos would've been vastly different.

As Rodolfo got older, his legacies continued to show and shine within the Chicano communities, and was memorialized in Denver as one of the largest Chicano activists. Unfortunately, later in life,e he was a part of a car accident to which he wasn't able to recover. Instead of spending the final time in the hospital, he chose to live his final moments at home, as he said he wanted to be with his people and his family. Rodolfo was fondly remembered through his school, 'Escuela Tlatelolco' which closed down in 2016. However, the year before the Denver public library opened a wing just for him, etching him into history forever as not only an athlete but a pillar of hope and change in the Chicano communities across the United States.
