I think this because first of all the community members usually get letters or stuff from parents, saying that certain books are displaying this behavior in this book, or are giving bad influences to my children. If you think about certain books that are banned are usually in middles schools, high schools, so if a book displays some type of bad behavior the students in the upper grade schools will probably not get influenced to do these things, most likely because there more mature.
