1. The first paragraph is not an example of absolutism because the King and Queen gave responsibility to the Parliament.
2. The second paragraph is an example of absolutism because they got to pick whether or not they would listen to their advisors. Also, they are talking about how much power the King has.
3. The third paragraph is not an example of absolutism because the responsibility is shown through the council members. The King has choices on what he wants to do.
4. The fourth paragraph is an example of absolutism because they are showing the power of the Kin through their words.

1. The first passage is not an example of absolutism. The King and Queen gave responsibility to the Parliament.
2. The second passage is a subtle example of absolutism. They refer to the emperor as a heavenly being.
3. The third passage is not an example of absolutism because the responsibility is on the council on members. Although it does mention that the king has choices in his ruling.
4. The fourth passage is an example of absolutism because there are many key words used in the paragraph that support the idea of absolutism. The words dictator, control, abolish, and outlaw help prove the idea.

The second passage is an example of absolutism because they believed that since there was only one heaven there could only be one ruler. They strongly believed that their ruler descended from heaven
3. The third passage is not an example of absolutism because even though the King made all the final decisions he had other authorities that made decisions.
4. The first passage regarding King William and Queen Mary of Spain is not an example of absolutism because they gave the parliament some of the responsibilities and not all of them.
2. The second paragraph is an example of absolutism because the king never even talked to the government about his rulings, he did it all by himself and no one challenged him about it.
3. The third passage is not an example of absolutism because the monarch doesn't have the choice on who is the next ruler.
4.

1. The first one is not an example of Absolutism because they agreed and signed a paper that said that they would work with Parliament to help their country become its best. Also the King and Queen shared their power with Parliament.
2. The second one is an example of Absolutism because they believed that the power of being king was given to the from God. Also they believed that there could only be one ruler.
3. I think that number 3 is not an example of Absolutism because they still aloud their council helping the king, but at the same time the king has the power to fire or get rid of and council member at anytime.
4. This is an example of absolutism because the prime minister had control over all of country. Also he got ride of any other existing powers that might cause him trouble or go against him.

This is not absolutism because while the monarchs are in contact with the parliament at most times, parliament still has the ability to make decisions

2. This is absolutism because the power is bestowed solely on one ruler by God himself. Though the military was allowed some liberties, the power of the people lay with the emperor

3. This is not absolutism because the rulers are chosen by a public body and the decisions are reached based on the will of the monarch plus his joint governing body.

4. This is absolutism because Mussolini's rule was based on his wish to conform the minds of his people. He banned other governing bodies to solidify his rule. I could see this to be argued that this was a dictatorship only and not absolutism, because the power was not given from god. I am indecisive.
