There were a lot of things happening in that time like new laws and there weren't a lot of activities to do back then besides going outside and playing at parks or going to peoples houses or watching TV or another activity is to go to restaurants and movie theaters. Now there are phone with tons of apps on them and kids always stay inside more and more then get addicted to it but they find more ways to communicate with friends and family and tons more activities that people in this era can do and spend their free time.

Growing up in the 60's was significantly different from today. Back then there were drive-ins and movie theaters. Nowadays technology overrules those things. Even though it is still available today it is not as popular. It was more simple than today with new technology advancing everyday.

I think that some major differences are that the kids used to play board games with their family. They also couldn't play on their television and they had to turn the dial on the phone to call. The only fun that they had was to go play outside and run around the blocks. The music that they listened to was also different they didn't have rap only country and rock an roll.

One of the differences is technology, there is a lot less technology back in the days. No touch-screen phones, no TV's, nothing. It is now harder for people to make drive-in movie theaters due to there being significantly less land than before.

In the 60s they didn't have as luxury cars as we do today. They also didnt have a major variety of clothes, cars, houses, and ways to do things. They didn't have Phone to carry around and couldn't always get a hold of someone as fast as we can.

Today we have more access to the internet and the web we are able to search for information and get results back in an instant but in the 60s you'd have to ask or look for the answer

in todays time period you can do many things with worry's but in the past you could go out and not have to worry about if your being judged or if you need a lot of money and everything was cheaper and gas only cost a few cents. but in todays day in age everything has higher prices and cost so so so much more than it should cost.

Some major differences of growing up in the sixties versus today is, obviously the technology and the pricing and things like that, but I think the main thing is the safety levels there was versus the amount of danger there is now. Kids in the sixties didn't have to worry about staying out late and worrying about getting kidnapped as much as kids now do. Their parents would just tell them to be home before the street lights turned on and not think twice about them after that. Sure kids then got kidnapped and murdered but not as much as they do now. Also, they didn't have to wonder if the person they were talking to on the phone was who they thought it was because they had everybody's number memorized for pay phones, kids now wonder if the person they're talking to is a 14 year old girl from lubbock or a 65 year old man.

One major difference from the 60s to now is that in the 60s they would go outside and they didn't have color on their TVs. Now we go outside but chose to be inside or bed rot. Now prices are higher, they could walk places without being scared and go places.

There are several differences between the 60s and now. The first being the internet, simply because they didn't have. Then there was the music, they listened to very different types of music. Also there were different types of fashion, for example they wore plaid or Madras and we were gym shorts. Finally how people talked to each other, that is because they talked to each other a lot more respectfully than we do know.

One major difference between now and the 60's is the movie theaters. Back then, you could drive up to an open parking lot and pick your parking spot. Then you would wait until the movie begins. There will be a speaker next to the cars so you could listen to the movie that is played on the screen. The movie theaters now are completely different you can go inside a build to buy a ticket, buy some snacks and your drinks. Then you would have to wait until the movie started. So the movie theaters back then were outside not inside.

One major difference between now and the 60's is the movie theaters because right now we have a place where you can walk into and find the room you are supposed to be in while you sit in a comfortable spot and watch what ever movie you want. 60's are way different because in the 60's you could drive your car in the parking lot and find a spot to park your car and watch the movie while you have to turn on the radio in the car so you can listen to the movie. One more major difference is they didn't have phones in the 60' s all they could really do was go outside and hang out but now we have phones and don't really have to do anything until you really need to.

I know times have changed a lot since the 60's. In this short selection I will describe some differences from then and now. Back then people were out doing things because they didn't have technology like we have today. They were also more social do to this. Though they had less opportunity because most were poor. Another thing I realized is back then they liked their hair more wet and slicked back and on the longer side. while now days people like to get haircuts and make there hair all fluffy and usually not wet. The 60's were very interesting times for car production. There were so many different cars that were made in the 60's it is hard to keep track of all of the different kinds of cars that were made. One of my personal favorite cars that was made during the time was the Ford mustang. This model was created in 1964. This was one of the most liked cars of the time. People went wild for a car that was both affordable and sleek. The price of the car when it was first brought to market was 2,368$. This was a perfect price in 1964. I got this from Wikipedia. However, my personal favorite Truck of all time was created during the nineteenth sixties. The c-10 cheverolet. The first body style was made in nineteen sixty. They continued this body style until 1966. The next body style was made 1967 and was produced through 1972. My personal favorite body style was made in 1973 and made through 1987. This body style is also known as the "Square Body". As you can see, this body style lasted for a long time. This was because so many loved this body style. Becasuse this is a 60's themed passage I will talk about the 60'-66' themed c-10. At the time this pickup truck only costed about 2,000 dollars. This was really cheap for a very nice truck in this time. Today, 2,000 dollars in 1960 is equal to more than 20,000 dollars. There was two different packages that were available in 1960. Both of these just added more or less chrome to this awesome half ton pickup truck. I received all the information about the 1960 from my dad and my grandpa. The 60’s were golden times for car lovers like me. With the invention of the c-10 and the ford mustang in 1964, these ages were amazing!

Back in the 60's, communication was limited to landline phones, letters, and face to face conversations. Unlike today, when you can text, call, and email anyone from anywhere! People then also didn't have the sources to look things up, while now, we can easily look up anything at anytime.
