I would prefer a scale that is 0-2, 3-4, and 5-6, because it is more varied.  This is especially important because for many of us this is our first time in a Spanish-language immersion classroom, so the scale can be harsh.
Person who is tardy 1-2 times should get full 6 points.
I like that participation/level of engagement is a factor.
