When artists willingly share their ideas with the public, it deepens the meaning of their work as people are able to relate to them on an emotional level.

One example would be the Walt Disney Company who pulled many of their ideas (the seven dwarfs, dumbo, etc.) from other sourcess. Yet, they disallow anyone who tries to draw for their own work. This creates a cultural debt because ideas flow in but not out.

This is the unintended usage of copyright from when it was first created by Thomas Jefferson. Now, copyright has turned into a "Usemonopoly" which is a monopoly on use.
