If a student asked a question and I don't have the answer, I will go and find out. In a recent AHM lesson, one child asked, "Why is diabetes harmful" I only offer surface answer without the exact knowledge to explain in a technical terms. Thus, I did my research and find ways to explain to them.  

II) Good at: Reflect and Revise as They go: 
In one class, boys did not like to compete against girls. I started the class with boys vs boys, but the lessons go, I started to rotate the boys to play against the girls. Eventually, I got to mix them up and the boys and girls end up working together. 

Work on: playful pedagogy - trying new things. Its easy to continue with tried and tested method instead of exploring new ways to teach. I need to look beyond current pedagogy and find ways to infuse new things without compromising what students need. The OE navigation using the pod is new to me and I will try it out soon.

I feel that I am generally a playful teacher in order to lighten the mood during lesson. Physical humour (funny faces, random dance moves) works well with the Lower Primary and Middle Primary kids. Sarcasm and witty remarks work well with the Upper Primary kids.

The inclination to cover the topics and skills in a given time result in me "rushing" in order to complete and move on to the next module. Naturally I am somebody who have and ask a lot of questions. I realized that enriched  my learning and making it enjoyable. I realized students learn better as well when we get them to ask or answer more questions.

Work on: Slowing down

I tend to always feel like I need to complete the objectives within a certain period of time. Hence, don’t see how I am able to allow time for them to “wonder”.

Creativity: As i am able to improvise one activity to another active by changing its level of difficulty and at the same time allowing students to think while playing how they can achieve their target.

Adaptability: Able to slow down the lesson and increase the pace as i can understand the level of progression each student is at. However, for Nan Hua primary this may be a domain more commonly seen in Thinking Lessons or GE classes. 

With regards to PE lessons, we more frequently fall under guided inquiry. Our more intentional approach to free inquiry would be through lessons such as makers space, creative gymnastics and games creation. However, I do feel that as teachers we often fall short and result to guiding our students due to reasons such as lack of time or wanting our students to succeed. 

How we can further implement IBL is to ensure teacher competence. I believe what was done in NanHua last year's P6 post PSLE activity demonstrate some form of 'Free' Enquiry where students select a topic, do their research and create a PPT.
