Salmo, pseudonym of Maurizio Pisciottu (Olbia, 29 June 1984), is an Italian rapper and record producer.

Salmo began his musical career at the age of 13, recording his first rhymes between 1997 and 1998. In 1999 he created and published the premeditation and willful demos with the oleanos rappers Bigfoot and Scascio (with whom he formed the Premeditazione and Dolo group), while in 2004 he published the first solo demo, entitled Sotto pelle; l ' the following year he self-produced and released the second Mr. Antipathy demo.
Alongside his solo career, Salmo has also supported some projects with different groups, starting from the rap metal music group Skasico, with whom he has recorded and produced the albums Terapia (2004), 21 Grams (2006) and Orange Bloom (2008) ; in 2008 he collaborated with the hardcore punk group To Ed Gein to the production of Toedgein (2008) and Shell Shock (2011), while in 2009 he produced the EP Merciful Bullets of the stoner rock group Three Pigs' Trip .

A bizarre way to announce an album

The album was announced in June 2018, while the single forerunner, 90min was made available only three months later

Following several marketing moves to promote the album, Salmo performed in Piazza Duomo in Milan on October 28, 2018 singing some songs from the album disguised as homeless. The video of this performance was made available later through a QR code located in the physical edition of the album.

On October 30, 2018, a video is released on the Pornhub platform, in which a mother (played by Vittoria Risi) catches his son in flagrante in order to masturbate listening to Playlist.

In the period following the album, Salmo released the videoclip of Sparare alla Luna, an excerpt recorded with Coez, on Netflix, while on November the second single Il cielo in the room was published, in collaboration with Nstasia.
