Firstly, I want to start off by saying how much I enjoyed reading all this information due to my son almost being two years old and not speaking as much as he should. One of my “oh wow” moments reading this article would be that the children of Headstart graduates are significantly more likely to finish high school and enroll in college and they are significantly less likely to be tempting parents or to be involved in the criminal justice system (Barr and Gibbs, 2017). Reading this section of “Next Generations” really put some thoughts into perspective, for myself I am breaking a generational cycle by being in school and taking care of my son.
